31/31!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Poem about Christmas

The
Start of
December
Lights Go Up
                                                                Tree comes out
Each ornament prettier
Then the next a star glimmering
On the top of a beautiful tree, lights
Scattered around. Presents stacking up under
The small tree, snow gliding down from the gray
Clouds and kids running and sledding in the snow filled parks.
The trees draped
With A thick

Layer of snow

30/31 This is Another View Waterfall Repelling, This is a poem

The water pounds my face
As I grasp on to a rope
The rope holding me
The water is sweeping my legs
It gets harder and harder to
Walk down the giant waterfall
I peeked over at my sister
She seemed just and scared
As I did
I go further and further down
I glanced down and three people
Were there waiting for the others
Giving them slow and loud instructions
They were screaming over the roaring falls
That the others glided down,
I was getting close to the bottom
Where the water crashes into the ground
And slowly moving into the next
Waterfall bursting with energy
I have five more feet
I was trying to get down
Without messing up.
This was my first time down
a waterfall and it was fun, but I'm not
done yet. The next waterfall was
getting set up by the leaders, and
everybody was antsy to do it
and two people start down the
waterfall, rushing wanting to be
the fastest but they don’t understand
that you have to savor the moment.

29/31 Skiing Survival Pt 3

GO CHECK OUT MY PAST TWO SLICES TO UNDERSTAND THIS

The helicopter came about an hour later. The helicopter driver thought that it would help if I came in the helicopter help search. I peeked out of the window but I couldn’t see anything, it was a crazy blizzard at this time. The driver turned the helicopter around. We waited for the blizzard to go away. The next day the blizzard was over.  This time we went up and we were flying around looking for them. After about two hours of looking we found three of the five missing people in our group
We were confused but then I remembered that we split up into three groups. We went back to the valley and waited out there for a little longer thinking about where they could have gone. Then the rescue got a call saying there was a call from the other valley over, and it was the other two in the group! We went over to the other valley and picked them up later then everybody got back to the valley. All of the other five got a some of frost bite. Three got a minor type of frost bite and the other two lost some of their fingers from frost bite.
During this event I learned a couple things about survival. You should always know everybody that is in your group, because if I had known everybody in the group, then it would have led to fewer arguments. We also wouldn’t want to split up because we are friends. I also realized that I should go back country skiing with less people because with smaller groups its easer to make decisions.  To this day I still love to ski.

28/31 Skiing Survival Pt 2

Go check out the first one!
The night was really rough; the snow just kept beaming me. No one was sleeping  at this time. The night couldn’t go any slower; if I could sleep the time would fly by. I barely bared the rest of the night and the blizzard. Finally the sun pops right in front of my view and we got up, in the sun. When I got up everybody started arguing in which direction to go to get to our cars. They didn’t know what they were doing they thought that they were going the right direction. I thought that it was obvious the right direction was where I was going. Me and my girlfriend had the best sense of direction in the group, but since they didn’t know me very well they didn’t know I had a good sense of direction.
Me and my girlfriend knew we were going in the right direction because we both had a great sense of direction. It was the right direction because I remember going through all of the runs that we did and it all lead to us going in this direction. We put on our skins for our skis (skins make it so you can hike with your skis on) and started hiking down. We reached an obstacle, it was the aftermath of around eleven avalanches. I stared forward, looking at what could be a room full of chair sized chunks of ice from the avalanches. I knew that it would destroy my skis . We started over the disaster that had happened over night I could hear the ice scratching the bottom of my skis through the skins. Finally we got to end of the ice chunks.

We were almost there. I could feel it and I peeked right over the ridge and I saw a downslope leading to the valley and my car! The avalanche had slid a couple meters from my car right where the exit was so trapped me from getting out of the small mountain town. I saw a lady walking over towards me, she came to me and asked if me and my girlfriend were part of skiing group that went up back country my answer was yes but we spit up in different directions a while ago. She called a rescue group for the rest of our group. During the time that while I was waiting for the helicopter the lady that talked to me let me stay in her house while we were waiting for helicopter.

27/31 Skiing Survival

This is a story in my uncles perspective and he told me it so i decided to write a slice! My next post will be about this as well

I can barely bear the rough winds and crisp snow be ating my face. Each minute gets colder; I get further into my sleeping bag burrowing deeper and deeper. That was one of the times that I remember when I thought I wouldn’t live. It was so cold I don’t know how I survived.
Our adventure in Aspen, Colorado started on February 19th of 1993, when me, my girlfriend and five other acquaintances, two women and three men went on a trip backcountry skiing. I never really got to know any of the people before the trip started. We slowly walked up the mountain, I kept peeking my head up looking for the hut. It felt so good to finally get to the hut. After our dinner I rushed to my room because I was so tired.

I woke up was for an amazing day. I knew there was sick fresh powder on the mountain because I could see all the snow piled on the tops of the fresh green trees.  Today I wanted to be the leader but they elected one of my friends.  I knew I had a way better sense of direction then him. The day was amazing until the last run. We went to the top of the mountain and we didn’t know what direction to go in. I noticed that our leader led us in the wrong direction. We argued on which direction to go in but we decided to sleep there for the night and decide in the morning.
